First I want to thank Over Here Photography for the beautiful photographs of the Hofward/Gowland wedding! Bride Mom (Susan) and I planned the flowers, and I loved her taste so much because it was organic and natural, just my style! That made this wedding one of my favorites. The wedding was held, appropriately, at Wolford Gardens on a warm and clear autumn afternoon. I couldn't contain myself with joy as I decorated the gardens, and I wasn't even going to the wedding. Some of our flowers didn't come in, so I used antiqued hydrangeas with the deep red peonies, some parrot tulips, and ranunculus. I grew some of the foliage, but the rest of the flowers were ordered. I love bay leaves, and I used them throughout. I want to grow a bay tree/shrub!! Here are the lovely results!

I couldn't resist adding two pictures of these adorable flower girls with their bay leaf and ranunculus flower crowns.

The lovely backdrop that the gardens provide require no arch, just natural beauty! For the rehearsal, we used wooden boxes filled with foliage, tulips, and peonies along with ferns and floating candles. I don't have pictures of that, sadly. Wish you could see them.
